William John Devlin was born in County Tyrone in Ireland on the 17th May 1938 and sadly left us on the 22nd May 2009, William John Devlin was the youngest of 6 children. He moved to England at the age of 15 years old and took up window cleaning whilst he went to school. He then had a few jobs in London, Birmingham and evenually settled in the North East where he met Brenda (my mum)and in 1961 married in Morpeth and in 1982 they had a daughter (me) Amanda Marie Devlin. He joined British Gas as a mainlayer craftsman at British Gas and had 29 years services with the company and retired at 49 and decided to go self employed as a Landscape Gardener which was a success. However at the age of 67 he decided to fully retire and enjoy his leisure time which was playing bowls and golfing. However at the age of 70 he was diagnosed with a brain tumour and passed away at the age of 71. We have lovely memories and had great fun together. Gone but never forgotten :)
